I love Michael Jackson all the way through Dangerous, but after that....uhhhhhhh well. Sure, nobody can take away Thriller, but he's just been wayyyyyyy too weird at all times for wayyyy too long for my taste. The Jackson 5 were one of my first loves, and I still love the pre-Dangerous MJ, but I think of the pre-Dangerous MJ as a different person. How else can I feel comfortable loving the man?
That being said, one thing I'll never understand is how grown ups can freak out like 11 year old girls over celebrities. Especially over Michael Jackson. To the goof-bags in the front row of the press conference: THAT'S POST-DANGEROUS WACKO-JACKO!!! You're screaming out "I love you!" to a psycho. Bunch a dummies.
But let us take a moment to remember what got those dummies all riled up in the first place:
Of Note:
-Can Michael Jackson still dance? He's 50 and sickly. He looked like he wanted to take the golf cart to the podium.
-His tone seems resentful. More like a warning than a farewell. It's like he's saying "if you don't let me stop performing after this you'll regret it...I'll get even weirder." But its bullshit because he's likely only doing these shows because he's going bankrupt.
